"La Casita Roja"​ 

La Casita Roja (The Little Red House) is a private guesthouse which was completed in 2019 to offer our guests a unique, private, comfortable and safe lodging experience, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown San Miguel de Allende.  As much as we love our little city, it is a popular tourist and wedding destination and that includes many fiestas and events, which mostly take place in the historical center of town and carry on into the wee hours.  This is exactly why we built our home in a quiet neighbourhood, a few short kilometers from downtown and San Miguel's famous "Paroquia" church.  After purchasing the vacant lot next door in 2018, we decided to built a first-class, colonial style guesthouse or "casita".

Located in a small mature palm grove, behind a wall of bugainvilleas, the casita features a single large bedroom, and is intended for couples or a single person.  It includes a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, comfortable living room with gas fireplace, spacious bedroom with sitting area, desk and Smart TV, and laundry/storage room with washer/dryer.  Every room has views of the garden and the entire front of the casita is a large covered porch with private sitting area overlooking the garden as well.  A stairway leads to a roof-top terrace with views of the city and downtown, perfect for breakfast or watching the sunsets or fireworks over downtown.

The water in the casita is purified, so no worries about drinking water from the tap and the entire space is covered by WIFI as well, so it is easy to stay in touch with family, friends or work (if you must!).  Contact us anytime for pricing and availability!
